Baseball: Billy Wagner is rumored to be retiring...The Red Sox are ordering Dice-K to get into fighting shape by the time spring training rolls around...Nats closer Mike MacDougal underwent hip surgery on Tuesday...Mariners catcher Rob Johnson is scheduled for surgery on both hips and his wrist. I hope he's getting some frequent customer discount...Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina was sued by Steiner Sports Marketing for failing to make an appearance and sign autographs...Giants GM Brian Sabean is giving Bruce Bochy the Good Housekeeping seal of approval...The A's will bring back their coaching staff for 2010.

Basketball: Turns out if you ask for a trade and then have an emotional outburst during a game, you're no longer allowed to be captain of the Warriors. "Being captain was overrated to me, anyway." Nice response Stephen Jackson...Gilbert Arenas and the Washington Wizards were fined $25,000 each because of Arenas' self-imposed silent treatment to the media during the preseason.

College Football: Oklahoma State is hoping the NCAA will go easy on reciever Dez Bryant. Bryant claims he panicked when he lied to the NCAA...New Mexico coach Mike Locksley has been suspended one game for hitting an assistant coach. What is up with all the physical violence towards assistant coaches? If you don't like them, just fire them!

Football: Tom Cable is not only staring down the barrel of the law, but he may also be punished by the League after he allegedly broke assistant coach Randy Hanson's jaw. Watch out Tommy, because Roger Goodell is on your tail!...Well that was a quick retirement. Junior Seau is back with the Pats...The Ravens have signed David Tyree of Super Bowl helmet catch fame. Nice to see him working for the first time in a year and a half...Is it a bad sign when one of your QB's puts his house on the market? Or is Brady Quinn just looking to trade up in this down market?...I get it, there are not a lot of people who want Rush Limbaugh to own the Rams.

Hockey: The Sabres scored four goals in the second and never looked back as they pounded the Red Wings, 6-2...It wasn't all good news for Buffalo, Thomas Vanek will miss a few weeks after sustaining an upper body injury in the victory...It's not getting any easier for Calgary. A day after blowing a five goal lead, the Flames were edged by the Blue Jackets, 2-1...A shake-up in the line-up could not help the slumping Maples Leafs who fell to the Avalanche, 4-1...The NHL and some women's groups are not too happy with Georges Laraque's new ad for alcoholic beverage Octane 7.0. But don't worry, he's sorry.

Nascar: The Nascar Hall of Fame is sheduled to announce its first class of inductees today at 4 PM/est. So for now, click here to see the list of nominees. Someone is going to have a very hard time narrowing it down to just five...A little late on this one, but Joey Logano's dad had his hard pass taken away after his scuffle with Greg Biffle following the end of last weekend's Nationwide Series race at Fontana. You may remember, Logano actually won that race. Talk about an obnoxious sports parent...Robert Good became the 11th crew member to be suspended by Nascar for violating their substance abuse policy.

Best of the Rest: U.S. Soccer star Charlie Davies was injured in a fatal single car crash on Tuesday. His injuries make it unlikely that he will be able to play in next year's World Cup...Billy Gillispie settled his suit with Kentucky for $2.9 million. Between this and his DUI, Gillispie could become a pro at settlements...U.S. Open winner Juan Martin Del Potro retired from the Shanghai Master's with a wrist injury. Probably suffered from signing some many autographs.
