Hey, Remember me?

Baseball: The Padres are reportedly interviewing Kim Ng for their GM position. If hired, she'd be the first female GM in the majors...The Astros are taking to former Manager Phil Garner...Meanwhile the Cubs have been given permission to speak with former Rangers batting coach Rudy Jaramillo...The Reds have hired Bryan Price as their pitching coach...The Pirates promoted Ray Searage to pitching coach...The Nats number 1 pick overall Stephen Strasburg had a nice debut in Fall Ball...The Rockies are not looking to deal Brad Hawpe...Braves catcher Brian McCann underwent his second lasik eye procedure. Hopefully now he can get rid of the glasses and the blured vision of course.

Basketball: Anything story that leads with "Ejection, Rabbi on floor delays Knicks' exhibition" becomes a must read in my book...LeBron James revealed he had a cancer-scare in January. Luckily everything turned out ok...WNBA's Detroit Shock are moving to Tulsa. You can't really blame them, but why is everyone migrating to Oklahoma?

College Football: After beating Louisville, 38-28, UCONN suffered one of the worst losses it will ever face. Starting cornerback Jasper Howard was stabbed to death after a University sanctioned dance over the weekend. The popo are currently searching for suspects...Florida is number 1 in the first BSC poll of the year...But Alabama leap frogged the Gators in the AP poll...Sam Bradford left Oklahoma's 16-13 loss to Texas early with a right shoulder injury. An MRI concluded that the injury is not new, which I guess is good news right?


Football: The Giants are no longer perfect as they were hammered by the Saints, 48-27. Jeremy Shockey had four recptions for 37 yards and one TD in his first game against his former team...Uh, when did the Titans become the Bad News Bears of football?...Even Kansas City won this week....Which cost Redskins coach Jim Zorn his play calling abilities. I really hope Jimmy has his resume updated and ready for distribution...A failed 44 yard field goal by the Ravens allowed the Vikings to survive, 33-31...The Falcons stood up the Bears, 21-14...Steelers kicker Jeff Reed really knows how to celebrate wins. But what he doesn't know quite yet, is how to not get arrested for celebrating those wins. Hockey: The Blue Jackets continue their franchise record pace, besting the Kings, 4-1...The Thrashers stayed hot, doubling up the Sabres, 4-2...With their 2-0 win, Devils goalie Martin Brodeur is now one shut out away from tying Terry Sawchuck's NHL career record...Mark it seven in a row for the Rangers who handily defeated the Maple Leafs, 4-1...Alexander Ovechkin had two goals in regulation and added the game deciding goal in the shoot-out of the Capitals 3-2 win over the Preds. Ovie has nine goals in the first eight games. Crap!...The Wild have acquired Chuck Kobasew from the Bruins for Craig Weller and Alexander Fallstrom...Marion Hossa is skating. All rejoice.
