Don't do it Roy!...Meanwhile Diamondbacks vice president of player personnel Jerry DiPoto is a possible candidate for the Padres vacant GM job...Even though he is signed with ESPN, Bobby Valentine has a lot of options, including the Indians managing job as well as some coaching opportunities in Japan...Jim Thome is open to returning to the White Sox, but will Jason Bay go back to Boston?


Basketball: Kevin Durant is trying his best, Ok!...The Kings' Francisco Garcia will miss at least four months after undergoing surgery on his wrist and forearm.

College Football: Florida remains No. 1 but Alabama jumped to second place after hammering Mississippi, 22-3...It's pretty bad when your dad benches you as starting QB, huh Cody Hawkins?...Michigan has suspended cornerback Boubacar Cissoko for violating team rules.


Football: Despite their ugly uniforms, or maybe because of them, the Broncos stunned the Patriots, 20-17 in OT...The Bengals rallied past the Ravens, 17-14...Peyton Manning and the Colts remained undefeated after pounding the Titans, 31-9...Meanwhile little Manning and the Giants did one better decimating the Raiders, 44-7...Donvan McNabb threw 264 yards with three touchdowns in his first game back since injuring his ribs. The Eagles went onto the 33-14 win over the Bucs...Also in his first game back from a rib injury, Matt Hasselbeck lead the Seahawks past the Jaguars, 41-0. Oh that was a competitive game...49ers safety Michael Lewis suffered his third concussion of the season in San Francisco's 45-10 loss to the Falcons. Hockey: Rangers scored three unanswered goals in the third period on their way to a 3-0 shut out win of the Ducks...The Canucks prevailed over the Stars, 4-3 in a shootout...There was some back news for Vancouver, forward Daniel Sedin will miss four-to-six weeks with a broken foot...The Blues placed Barret Jackman on IR with a sprained left ankle...Wings forward Johan Franzen has a torn ACL and will be out for at least four months...Did Flyers forward Scott Harntell bite Penguins defenseman Kris Letang's finger? I know Letang is so cute you just want to eat him up, but seriously, some self control!...Regis Labeaume, mayor of Quebec City, is trying to bring back the Nordiques. Well there's this team in Phoenix that's not doing too well.
