NLCS
Dodgers v. Phillies
Game 1 Recap:

Dodgers 6, Phillies 8
The scoring started with a James Loney solo homerun in the second inning that put the Dodgers ahead and ended with a Raul Ibanez three run bomb that gave the Phillies an 8-6 advantage on their way to taking game 1 of the NLCS.

After taking the early lead, Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw was unable to keep Philadelphia at bay, as the Fightin’ Phils hammered him in the fifth. Manager Joe Torre responded to criticism that he kept the young righty in too long by saying he was hoping for a more favorable match-up for his relievers. But while Torre was waiting, Ryan Howard was hitting a double into to right that scored Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley and capped off a five run inning that helped send LA into an early series hole.
