I Don't Know is on Third: 2009 MLB Playoffs

ALCS
Yankees v. Angels
Game 4 Recap:

Angles 1, Yankees 10
For those clamoring for instant replay, Tuesday night’s game would be your exhibit A. Besides two blown calls involving Nick Swisher (which basically canceled each other out), there was the even more hilarious debacle at third base involving Jorge Posada and Robinson Cano. If there is one thing I know about baseball it’s that you have to physically be touching the base to be safe. Neither Robinson Cano nor Jorge Posada were on the base when they were tagged by Mike Napoli although magically only Posada was called out.

Even with those umpiring blunders, no one can say that any of them had a real affect on the outcome. CC Sabathia was dominant on three days rest allowing one run, a Kendry Morales homer in the fifth, while striking out five in eight innings. Meanwhile Melky Cabrera went three-for-four with four RBIs and Alex Rodriguez added two RBIs in the win.

WP: CC Sabathia (2-0) LP: Scott Kazmir (0-1)
Yankees Lead Series 3-1
Next Game: Thursday October 21 at 7:57 PM/est on FOX

News&Notes: Mariano Rivera is not doctoring the ball...Down three games to one, the Angels are not ready to give up.

NLCS
Dodgers v. Phillies
Phillies Lead Series 3-1
Next Game: Wednesday October 20 at 8:07 PM/est on TBS

News&Notes: While the Phillies were completing their ninth inning rally in Game 4 of the NLCS, Manny Ramirez was taking a shower. I guess he wanted to be the first one on the team bus…The Dodgers have given GM Ned Colletti an extension...Cooch is quietly making a name for himself this postseason. Of course if you are my brother's dog Maggie Schmitter Ruiz, you already know all about him.
