While you were stalking Luke Walton...

...I have been extremely busy at work (you know the thing that actually pays me money) and seemingly will continue to be pretty busy for the remainder of the week. I'll try to update as much as possibly, but I don't know exactly how often that will be. In the meantime, here are a few stories floating around from the world of sports:

Baseball: Does it get any worse? A few days after being knocked out of the postseason by the Dodgers, Cubs reliever Carlos Marmol was involved in a traffic accident in the Domincan Republic. He is said to have suffered minor injuries...Speaking of the Dodgers, Tim McCarver may want to just stay in the booth during the NLCS after making these comments about Manny Ramirez...Mariano Rivera underwent successful shoulder surgery, while the Tribe's slugger Travis Hafner is hoping to avoid it...Omar Vizquel underwent eye surgery...Barry Bonds says he's enjoying life after baseball.

Redick's $2.8 million option.

And well you should be.

Sean Avery was on it and made an interesting dig at the NHL for not marketing itself well enough.

(Updated Standings Here)...Denny Hamlin has been released from an Alabama Hospital after his scary wreck...Stewart-Haas is expected to announce a new sponsor for Ryan Newman's #39 Chevy for 2009. Any guesses? If you went with the Army, you'd be correct!...Good news, A.J. Allmendinger will race in the #00 Toyota for Michael Waltrip Racing at Lowe's Motor Speedway on Saturday. Allmendinger had recently been dropped by Red Bull.

Popo News: Just because you weren't charged, doesn't mean you'll be avoiding any legal hassles Marvin Harrison. Alleged victim Dwight Dixon apparently has your number and has filed a civil suit against you, Marvin...Jacksonville Jaguars reciever Matt Jones' drug case will be held in drug court instead of the regular criminal system. Is this anything like Judge Judy or Divorce Court? Because I'd like to know the date and time that this airs...Mets reliever Ambiorix Burgos has turned himself in in connection with a hit-and-run case in the Dominican...Let's not forget about Astros pitcher Brandon Backe's recent arrest during a wedding reception. This must have been one amazing wedding!

Check this out: So if you have DirecTV, don't forget to watch an all new episode of Friday Night Lights. If you're like me and don't have DirecTV, fear not, you can watch old episodes here and dream about how awesome the new episodes are. (PS-I'm trying to live in a spoiler free zone when it comes to FNL)
