The Real Men Don't Wear Goggles Edition: LCS 2008 Update

LCS Recap:
Philadelphia Phillies @ Los Angeles Dodgers
The game started out with a bang and ended with a boom as the Phillies defeated the Dodgers, 5-1 to advance to their first World Series since 1993. Jimmy Rollins lead off the game with a homerun and the Phils never looked back picking up two runs in the third and two more in the fifth inning, an inning in which Dodgers SS Rafael Furcal committed three errors. Cole Hamels continued to dazzle, striking out five and allowing just one run, a solo shot by Manny Ramirez, in seven innings pitched and Brad Lidge came in to close out another victory for Philadelphia who await the winner of the Rays/Red Sox series.

News&Notes: Congratulations to Cole Hamels, who was named MVP of the NLCS...Game 6 of the World Series will be delayed an extra 15 minutes and the only person to blame is Presidential hopeful Barack Obama...The Citgo sign outside of Fenway Park was torched on Wednesday. People are calling this a bad omen, I'm calling it a protest of high gas prices and a bad omen for the Red Sox...Ken Griffey, Jr. underwent knee surgery...And of course, I'm not a big enough person to not mention the biggest baseball story in New York right now, A-Rod and Madonna's romance is heating up. With a sugar momma like Madge, I think Alex should just retire.
