The Braves had yesterday off after winning their series in Milwaukee earlier this week. Today they have yet another day game, this time against the Chicago Cubs. Lucky for the Braves, they are going up against Carlos Zambrano who is a whoping 1-3 with a 7.39 ERA at home. Game starts at 2:20 PM/est on TBS.

Games behind NY Mets in NL East: 4 1/2
Games above .500: 7
NL Wild Card Leader: Los Angeles Dodgers/San Diego Padres/Arizona Diamondbacks

Braves Notes: The Braves are waiting to see if Chipper Jones' thumbs are feeling better. If the 3B does not play in Friday's game he'll be heading to the DL.

NASCAR Update:
Welcome to the Monster Mile boys. While Dover is just one mile long, it packs a quick punch. Look for big wrecks as cars tend to be collected. It is also another Car of Tomorrow race, which team Hendrick and JGR have dominated so far this season. Plus, it's a home coming for Jersey boy, Martin Truex, Jr. who grew up a few hours away in Mayetta. Don't miss a minute of the excitemnt, coverage starts at 1 PM/est on Fox.

NASCAR Notes: Don't believe the rumors, Robert Yates Racing is not going to Toyota after the team signed a five year deal with Ford.

Separated at Birth:

News & Notes: The NFL has banned alcohol from all team functions or on buses or flights. This expands the ban that is already in place in team's locker rooms. Seriously, no fun...The Milwaukee Brewers have placed Ricky Weeks on the 15 day DL with a sore right wrist. The Brewers did however beat the Florida Marlins on Thursday 4-3...The San Francisco Giants have traded closer Armando Benitez to the Florida Marlins. Florida will pay just $333,333 of his prorated salary. The Giants will pick up the remaining $4,733,333...Congratulations to New Kids on the Block alumn, Joey McIntyre and his wife Barrett. They are expecting their first child...The Police show is totally lame, just ask Stewart Copeland. I guess the $11,500 going ticket price for the Police concert in New York City is a little much...Luck for those scalpers, New York state is looking to make the practice legal. Take that New York Yankees...Finally, don't forget to check out Knocked Up when it hits theaters this weekend.
