There's a first time for everybody

Braves Update:
Turner Field is turning into the Braves own personal nightmare after they dropped their fourth straight game there on Monday. Tim Hudson allowed six runs in six innings of work, but its a passed ball that allowed Jeremy Hermida to get to first base that may haunt the team, especially after Edgar Renteria's two run homer in the ninth that would have tied the game. After Hermida got on base, Aaron Boone hit a two run single which ended up being enough for the Florida Marlins to get the 6-4 win. The Braves have a double header today, the eighth day game for the Braves in their last 10. Action begins at 2:35 PM/est on SS.

Games behind NY Mets in NL East: 4
Games above .500: 7
NL Wild Card Leader: San Diego Padres/Arizona Diamondbacks

Braves Notes: Congratulations to Yunel Escobar got his first major league homerun on Monday.

NASCAR Update:
Tire wear was a major factor in Monday's Austism Speaks 400 at Dover International Speedway, where both Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. encountered problems. But in the end, it was a different DEI teammate in victory lane, Martin Truex, Jr. Truex was able to out duel Ryan Newman, who spent the majority of the first part of the race in front, to pick up his first career win. A midrace incident between Kurt Busch and Tony Stewart saw NASCAR park the #2 Miller Lite Dodge of Busch behind the wall after a questionable move by Kurt on pit road. Busch pulled up beside Stewart, almost hitting one of Stewart's crew men. Expect a penalty to follow. No one should put a crew member in danger.
