Just another rainy Monday

Braves Update:
Lance Cormier was a little rusty in his first start of the season. Cormier had been on the DL since late March with an injured right arm. In the first inning, Cormier loaded the bases and allowed a two out grand slam by former Brave (and New Jersey native) Mark DeRosa. It didn't get much better for the Braves as they lost 10-1. The Braves head home for a series against the Florida Marlins beginning tonight at 7:05 PM/est on SS.

Games behind NY Mets in NL East: 3 1/2
Games above .500: 8
NL Wild Card Leader: Los Angeles Dodgers/San Diego Padres/Arizona Diamondbacks

Braves Notes: Salty made his first base debut during the seventh inning of the Braves loss to the Cubs on Sunday

NASCAR Update:
The Cup Series race at Dover was postponed on Sunday due to Tropical Storm Barry. The race is scheduled for a noon start on Monday.

NASCAR Notes: J.D. Gibbs was not too happy with Jeff Hammond, when he announced on FOX's extended broadcast on Sunday that he had inside information that Dale Earnhardt, Jr. would be going to Joe Gibbs Racing. Gibbs called the news speculative...Bill Davis Racing has cut ties with Dave Blaney's crew chief Kevin Hamlin...Sad news, former NASCAR chairman Bill France, Jr. died on Monday at the age of 74.

The Orlando Senitnel is reporting that the Orlando Magic will let Billy Donovan out of his contract to return to coach the Florida Gators men's basketball team only days after signing with the Magic...Country star, Miranda Lambert shares her diet diary with people.com...Finally, while it might not have come in first at the box office (Pirates topped it for the second straight week bringing in $43.2 million), Knocked Up has nothing to be upset about after making $29.3 million over the weekend.
