Coco Puffs

Braves Update:
The Braves' bats came alive on Monday night in their 9-4 win over the Boston Red Sox. Catcher Brian McCann hit a three run homerun in the fifth after doubling in a run in the fourth off of Curt Schilling. The lone bright spot for the Red Sox was centerfielder Coco Crisp who hit two solo homeruns off of an impressive Chuck James, Crisp's only career multihomer game. The Braves continue their series with the Red Sox tonight at 7:35 PM/est on SS.

News & Notes: The Orioles have fired manager Sam Perlozzo after an eight game losing streak. The O's have promoted bullpen coach Dave Trembley to interim manager...The Chicago Cubs Derek Lee and the San Diego Padres Chris Young have both been suspended 5 games after the two were involved in a bench-clearing brawl on Saturday. Padres players Brian Giles and Jake Peavy were also fined for their involvement in Saturday's incident...In other fine and suspension news, Philadelphia Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz was suspended for one game after touching an umpire during a dispute on Sunday. Phillies third base coach Steve Smith was supsended for three games for his actions during the dispute...Former Giants Linebacker LaVar Arrington was seriously injured during a motorcycle crash on Monday. Arrington suferred broken bones in his arm and leg but his injures are not considered life threatening. Although without a contract for 2007, they are probably career threatening...Finally, Monday was a big day for celebrity babies, congratulations to Julia Roberts and husband Danny Moder on the birth of their third child, Henry Daniel Moder on Monday. He is joined by twins Hazel and Phinnaeus; Tiger Woods and wife Elin Nordegren on the birth of their first child, Sam Alexis Woods and Keri Russel and husband Shane Deary on their first child, a son, River Russel Deary who was born over the weekend.
