Buick is leaving the PGA

No matter how well Cash for Cars succeeded in pump in money into the car industry, it could not save Buick from deciding to leave the PGA behind. The car company has announced it will no longer sponsor the PGA Tour.

The move is not surprising considering they recently announced they have broken ties with golf star Tiger Woods, who has won the Buick Invitational six times. Buick at one point was sponsoring five events, including the aforementioned Invitational. Now the PGA has decided to replace it with a new tournament at the Greenbrier in West Virginia. As for the West Coast event, they are looking for a sponsor.
