A Miracle Has Occurred…

…Sean Avery is back with the Rangers. Ok, now when I say miracle I mean a foregone conclusion has happened, but I shouldn’t let such a logical view on things blur my vision. After all, the way Avery has orchestrated his return to Broadway with the money he was hoping for was anything but logical. Instead of taking the Rangers lowball offer, he defected to Dallas where they signed him for four years, $15.5 million. Then not enjoying the scenery, or the hair jacked to the heavens, he decided to hold a press conference, call out his former flames and their new beaus and get himself suspended indefinitely from the League. The press conference ensured he had pissed of the Stars enough that his return to Dallas was out of the question, because his personal battles with teammates was just not enough to get this deal in motion. So as the Stars debated on the best way to get rid of Avery, Sean took anger management classes or whatever personal rehab they are calling it these days. In his final move, Avery got himself relocated to Hartford for a stint with the Wolf Pack - the Rangers AHL affiliate - that would enable him to get back to playing shape as he had spent almost two and half months working on his personal evolution away from the ice. It seems in the end he got exaclty what he wanted, the money and the team and Thursday, we’ll all see if his diabolical plan worked, as the Rangers take on the Islanders for another must-win game. Welcome back Sean!
