Deuce’s Down

Former New Orleans Saints running back Deuce McAllister has filed for bankruptcy protection for a car dealership he owns in Mississippi. Nissan is claiming McAllister defaulted on a deal, and then exceeded his line of credit to the tune of over $6.6 million and $300,000 in interest.

The former first round draft pick was recently cut by the Saints in a salary cap move. He was expected to make $7 million next season, which just so happens to be enough to make this little situation go away. Instead he is just another name to add to the growing list of unemployed. Too bad he didn’t have a Hyundai dealership. Then he could just say he lost his job and return the car to the manufacturer. Or does that not work in this situation?
