Oh and happy birthday. It's safe to say that Jarrod Saltalamacchia's 22nd birthday is one to remember. Salty got the call up to the bigs to play for the injured Brian McCann and Bryan Pena at midnight...May 2nd. Less than 24 hours later, he threw out the first base runner that tried to steal. And to top it off, the Braves won 4-3 on the strength of a Chipper Jones 2 run double and Willie Harris' game winning single in the sixth, to take the 3 game series against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Braves have the day off.

Braves notes: Mark Redman was placed on the 15 day DL with an ingrown toe nail...With his debut, Jarrod Saltalamacchia made the record books with the longest name (14 letters) in MLB history.
Josh Beckett became the first major league pitcher to six wins this season, as the Red Sox beat the Oakland A's, 6-4. Beckett is the first Red Sox to win his first six games since Roger Clemens did it in 1991.
Kevin Harvick and Jamie McMurray were fined $25,000 each and placed on probation until October 3rd because of their actions during last Sunday's race in Talladega. Officials reviewing the race noticed Harvick and McMurray bumping cars during a late caution.
