So it's a date!

Happy NASCAR Day! Give back at nascar.com. Click on NASCAR Day Telethon.

Braves Update:
It hasn't been a great few days for the Braves as they lost only their second series of the year. This time, it was to the Washington Nationals. I continue to wonder if the Nationals are the Braves achilles heel. While the Braves entered the Series a 1/2 game up on the New York Mets, they ended it 1 1/2 games back after yesterday afternoon's 5-4 loss. Hopefully, they can elevate their game, especially since they'll be playing the AL East leading Boston Red Sox. Action starts at 7:05 PM/est on TBS.

Games behind NY Mets in NL East:1 1/2
Games above .500: 9
NL Wild Card Leader: Atlanta Braves

Baseball Update:
Just in time, Red Sox ace, Josh Beckett is heading to the disabled list.

Former Braves pitcher, Kyle Farnsworth is not happy with Roger Clemens' "family plan" schedule. Apparently, the shaky relief pitcher doesn't the fact that Clemens does not have to stay with the team if he is not pitching.

NASCAR Update:
This weekend is a time to celebrate, have fun and kick some major ass, because after all, there are no points involved just money, lots and lots of money oh yeah and PRIDE! The Nextel Cup will be at their home track, Lowe's Motor Speedway in beautiful Concord, NC for the Nextel All Star Challenge. Coverage starts live on Speed at 9 PM/est on Saturday. If you're favorite driver is not on the list, don't forget to watch the Nextel Open at 7 PM/est on Speed or VOTE them in!
