Andruw Jones chose a great time to climb out of his slump. Jones single in the eight moving the go ahead run home and allowing the Braves to beat the San Diego Padres 3-2. Jones' RBI came after a one run triple by short stop Edgar Renteria in the same inning. The Braves have been on tear winning their last 7 out of 11. Tonight's game will feature a match up between two former teammates, John Smoltz and Greg Maddux. The last time these two met, was in 1992. Braves v. Padres starts at 7:35 PM/est on FSN-HD.

While many drivers have criticized the Car of Tomorrow, maybe no one's voice is louder than superstar Dale Earnhardt, Jr. During testing at Lowe's Motor Speedway, Junior told reporters that the cars were too hard to turn and are "the most frustrating thing [he's] ever had to deal with." Not good. On an upside for NASCAR, who has spent seven years developing the COT, most teams want the it in full rotation in 2008.
Last night I headed up to the bronx for another $5 game. The Yankees pretty much slaughtered the Texas Rangers 8-2 and A-Rod hit a homerun, his first in 15 games. More importantly, Andy Pettitte was on the mound. The April 25th game that got rained out was supposed to feature Pettitte. So I was glad that he started. By far the best line of the night came from the kids behind us who were making plans for the next day. "Ok, so we should leave at 2, but I'm going to have to shower first." Good call. Unfortunately, no pictures. I took a bunch, but my computer is still down for the count.
It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
