Rock N Rolla

Baseball: Sure it may have been Manny Ramirez bobblehead doll night, and yeah he hit a pinch hit grand slam that powered the Dodgers past the Reds, 6-2, but I still think Shane Victorino's bobblehead doll night was way better. His homerun was a walk-off after all!...Speaking of the Phils, their 10 game win streak came to a slamming hault as they fell to the Cubs, 10-5...Still rolling are the Braves who doubled up the Giants, 4-2...And the Yankees who remain undefeated since the All-Star break after holding off the Orioles, 6-4...The Red Sox had a flurry of activity on Wednesday, losing to the Rangers, 3-1...Acquiring Adam LaRoche from the Pirates (who by the way are like two trades away from getting rid of all of their Opening Day starters)...And sending Julio Lugo to the Cardinals for Chris Duncan...The Red Sox also announced they will be retiring Jim Rice's #14...In non-Red Sox news, the Miguel Tejada singled in the game winning run as the Astros rallied past the Cards, 4-3...Todd Helton smacked his 500th career double and then added the go-ahead homerun which gave the Rockies a 4-3 win over the D'Backs...The Major's win leader Jason Marquis will miss his next start with a blister...The A's decimated the Twins, 16-1...Royals right fielder Jose Guillen was taken to the hospital after feeling sudden leg pain during Kansas City's 9-6 loss to the Halos...Former White Sox pitcher Jim Parque has admitted to using HGH.

Football: Authorities have decided not to investigate allegations that Ben Roethlisberger sexually assualted a female employee at Harrah's in Lake Tahoe...The Ravens are hopeful that WR Derrick Mason will come out of retirement. Ok, but you still have a back-up plan right?...Pacman Jones is holding out hope that some team will sign him. Dream big Adam, dream big...Rich Behm, a cowboys aide who was injured in the collapse of the team's practice facility" is confident he will walk again!...Things are not looking up for Dwight Dixon who claims he was shot by Marvin Harrison last year. Dixon is in critical condition after being shot again. Remind me to stear clear of that area in Philly.

Hockey: Marian Hossa has a bum shoulder and the best part is the Blackhawks say they were aware of the injury when they signed him to a mega 12 year deal. Like the long term deal isn't crazy enough, you sign damaged goods to it?!?!!?...The Islanders have signed goalie Martin Biron to a one year deal. The move is good considering glass bones DiPietro will probably spend most of the season in rehab...The Devils have signed Travis Zajac to a multiyear deal...Petr Sykora's decision not to return to the Pens has nothing to do with hatred towards Dan Bylsma...Evgeni Malkin talks with Puck Daddy about playing in Russia and those steamy paparrazi photos here.
