I've been in the Stands before

Baseball: Melky Cabrera hit the game winning RBI single in the Yankees 7-4 win over the Angels...Matt Garza took a no-hitter into the seventh, while the Rays bats had a heck of a night in their 13-0 rout of the Red Sox...Jorge Cantu's bat is remaining hot after lifting a three-run double in the 10th inning of the Marlins 8-2 rocking of the Cubs...Orlando Hudson and Manny Ramirez hit back-to-back long balls as the Dodgers topped the Padres, 8-5. The Dodgers remain undefeated at home this season...The Brewers won their fourth in a row after dropping the D'Backs, 4-1...Josh Hamilton is feeling better but still not good enough to play...Too bad for the Rangers who fell to the A's, 4-2...The White Sox called up Scott Podsednik. Wow, I had no idea he in the minors...The Indians have placed Travis Hafner on the DL with a sore shoulder...Orioles pitcher Jamie Walker was fined for criticizing umpire Angel Hernandez.

Basketball: I am not sure, but I think the Bulls and Celtics are still playing game six somewhere in Chicago...The Rockets ended their first round exit hex with a 92-76 victory over the Trailer Blazers...The Magic knocked out the 76ers, 114-89 without the services of Dwight Howard who was suspended by the league for one game...Orlando was also missing Courtney Lee who will miss the remainder of the playoffs after fracturing his sinus. He is scheduled to undergo surgery to fix the problem.

Football: The New Orlean Saints announced they are staying in the Superdome through 2025...Former NFLer Lawrence Phillips is facing eigh felony charges that stems from an a 2005 incident where he allegedly attacked his girlfriend. Phillips is already serving a 10 year sentence for striking three teenagers with his car. Watch out Lawerence, because the popo are on your tail!

Hockey: The Canucks rallied to beat the Hawks, 5-3 to take an early 1-0 series lead...Red Wings forward Kris Draper will miss games 1 & 2 of their series with the Ducks due to an upper body injury...So the NHL has loaned the Coyotes money to pay payroll and rent, but they haven't taken over the team, yet...Rangers coach John Tortorella was embarassed by his water bottle throwing incident. Is it because he didn't throw it as far as Sean Avery once did?...Congrats to Alexander Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin and Pavel Datsyuk on being named finalists for the Hart Trophy (MVP)...Congrats also go out to Detroit's Chris Chelios, Nashville's Steve Sullivan and Florida's Richard Zednik on being named finalists for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy (sportsmanship).

Nascar: Congrats to Jeff Gordon won first quarter balloting for the annual Driver of the Year Award...Good news, Blake Bobbitt who injured during the Talladega race has been released from the hospital.

Best of the Rest: JoePa wants to expand the Big 12 conference...Congratulations to the College Hall of Fame, class of 2009 which features two former Heisman Trophy winners Tim Brown and Gino Torretta...Following a car accident Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt will not compete in this weekend's Kingston International...The Swine Flu is really causing problems like in Texas and Alabama where they have canceled high school sporting events.
