With all of the angst of the past two games, the last thing Pens fans needed was to be teased by their own team. That’s just what happened when the Penguins sent 460 text messages to fans telling them they had won four tickets to a playoff game in error. The fans later received an automated message explaining the mistake and some will receive personal phones calls as well. Someone is so getting fired for this.
The fans didn’t walk away empty handed though, they’ll receive a $25 gift card, a new hat, t-shirt and two tickets to a regular season game. So I guess they really did win after all.
