Record Setting

Baseball: The Dodgers are now 13-0 at home after pounding the Nationals, 10-3. With a two game set with the Nats, I can see LA going 14-0...There were some bruttle winnings on Wednesday including the Brewers 15-3 rout of the Reds...The Angels 13-1 pummeling of the Jays...And the Royals 9-1 hurting of the Mariners. Kansas City had 17 hits in the win...And Johan Santana continued to dazzle, while the Mets offense continued their lackluster efforts, luckily one run was all they needed in their 1-0 victory over the Phillies...The Mets have placed Oliver Perez on the DL with knee tendinitis. After the Dontrelle Willis thing in Detroit it's now officially ok say you've put players on the DL because of mental problems...The Rays nipped the Yankees, 4-3...While the Indians took out the Red Sox, 9-2. Carl Pavano has really been pitching well in his last few outtings. I can't believe I just wrote that...The Twins have sent Alexi Casilla to the minors.

Basketball: Eddie House scored 31 points in the Celtics 112-94 victory over the Magic to tie the series at 1-1...The Lakers bounced back from a game one stunner to beat the Rockets, 111-98. The game resembled more of a UFC match than a basketball game with both Ron Artest and Derek Fisher getting thrown out...The Heat really want Dwyane Wade to stay...The popo arrested Cristal Taylor for violating her probation. Her crime, stalking Mavs star Dirk Nowitzki. No offense, but if I am going to be arrested for stalking, Dirk's not going to be my target. Watch out Cristal, because the popo are on your tail!

Football: Well that was quick, New England Patriots 2009 third round pick Tyrone McKenzie tore his ACL and will miss the rest of the season...Word to the wise, you may want to avoid using Allentown PA based Summit Structures, LLC for your constructing needs. Not only did they build the Cowboys practice facility that fell a part last weekend, but they also built three other facilitys that have fallen in heavy weather since 2002.

Hockey: Kris Letang rescued the Pens with a goal in OT to give Pittsburg the 3-2 win and get them back in their series with the Capitals...The Canes rocked the Bruins, 3-2 to take a 2-1 series lead...Ducks defenseman Jame Wisniewski who left game three early after coughing up blood has been released from an Orange County hospital. Wisniewski suffered a bruised lung after being hit by a slap shot in the second period...Congrats the Capital's Alex Ovechkin, the Penguin's Evgeni Malkin and the Red Wing's Pavel Datsyk on being selected finalists for the Lester B. Pearson Award (most outstanding player picked by fellow NHL players).

Nascar: Forget about those rumors, Mark Martin will drive a full schedule for Hendrick Motorsports in 2010...Sad news, former Nationwide Series driver Kevin Grubb has died. He was just 31.

Best of the Rest: Commissioners Bud Selid, Roger Goodell, David Stern and Gary Bettman got to together to talk about the economy. So much ineptitude in one place, I can't believe the world didn't implode...The Big 12 rejected a proposal to change the tiebreaker rule...Sad news, FIA boss Max Mosley's son Alexander was found dead in his apartment. He was 39.
