Baseball: The Mariners outlasted the A's, 8-7 in a marathon 15 inning game...The Giants and Diamondbacks needed just 10 innings to decide a winner, San Francisco, 1-0...Derek Lee hit a grand slam, while Carlos Zambrano left in the fifth after straining his left hamstring. So it's safe to say the Cubs, 6-4 win over the Marlins was adventurous...Carl Crawford had six steals in the Rays 5-3 victory over the Red Sox...The Tigers nipped the Indians, 3-1 and gave Cliff Lee is fourth loss of the season...Also losing Sunday was Tribe 2B Asdrubal Cabrera who lost 3 RBIs from Saturday's game after his double was ruled an error...After being no-hit through six, the Royals rallied to a 7-5 win over the Twins...The Dodgers are now 10-0 at home after beating the Padres, 7-3...The Blue Jays swept up the Orioles, 4-3...If Saturday's game was any indication, Oliver Perez probably won't be starting anytime soon.

Basketball: The Atlanta Hawks advanced to Round 2 with their 91-78 rout of the Heat...A day early, the Celtics eliminated the Bulls, 109-99...Already in the second round, the Nuggets took an early 1-0 series advantage with their 109-95 victory over the Mavs...Courtney Lee, the Magic guard who will miss the remainder of the playoffs after undergoing surgery on his fractured sinus will not travel with the team to Boston. Lee has been replaced by J.J. Redick. Holy crap, well that answers my other question, where in the world is J.J.?...Congrats to Nuggets VP of basketball operations Mark Warkentein on being named the NBA's executive of the year.

Football: A Dallas Cowboys scouting assistant Rich Behm was permanently paralyzed when the roof of the Cowboy's practice facility collapsed during a storm on Saturday...Sad news, former QB and congressman Jack Kemp died at the age of 73.

Hockey: It took three overtimes for the Ducks to draw even in their series with the Red Wings, 4-3...The Canes blanked the Bruins, 3-0 to tie the series at one a piece...The Capitals struck first with a 3-2 edging over the Penguins on Saturday...Also on Saturday, the Hawks pummeled the Canucks, 6-3...Islanders owner Charles Wang says he regrets buying the team. Yeah, I am not surprised he said that, I am surprised it took him nine years to figure that out.
