Jose Guillen Does Not Like Hecklers

Royals outfielder Jose Guillen had to be restrained by his third base coach Luis Silverio and others during Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to the Rangers. The problems began in the first inning when Guillen ripped a ball to left field for a single. The fan was apparently not pleased that Jose didn’t make it into a double and let him know about it. Then things got ugly in the fourth when Guillen flew out and the fan let him know about his displeasure, prompting Jose to get a little frisky.

"The [next] at-bat, when I hit the ball to left field, he said the magic words," Guillen said. "Something personal about my family. I don't deal well with that. That's enough right there."
The fan was escorted out of the stadium by security, while Guillen continued to play. Lame, I only enjoy my fan/player stories when they involve the Palace at Auburn Hills. They know how to do things right over there.

UPDATE: It took a day, but there's video! Warning: The video quality is not that great and it's a bit shakey, but it's the best I've found.

It’s been fun blogging with you,
