First Base
James Loney (Dodgers)
On a team with Manny Ramirez, it is sometimes easy to get lost in the shuffle, but even so, it’s hard not to notice James over at first.

Second Base
Skip Schumaker (Cardinals)
Skip recently relocated from the outfield to second, but that hasn’t stopped him from making great places and looking good while doing it.

Honorable Mention: Mike Fontenot (Cubs)
Third Base
Ian Stewart (Rockies)
Two year’s ago, Stewart’s teammate Troy Tulowitzki made the list, but this year, it’s Stewarts turn to shine. And how could you not, considering he has already surpassed his career high in RBIs (44), homeruns (16) and stolen bases (6)?

Shortstop
Shortstop
Asdrubal Cabrera (Indians)
He may have missed a month with a strained shoulder but that didn’t prevent him from making the list. Cabrera has struggled a bit since coming off the DL, but he still looks very good on the field and at the plate.

Honorable Mention: Nick Green (Red Sox) – Clearly, he violates one major rule, he’s over 30, but it’s hard not to reward a former Brave who is having a break out season in Boston.

Outfielders
Ryan Sweeney (A’s)
Is it possible that he’s just as excited to be named to the list as we were to add him? (Probably not)

Daniel Murphy (Mets)
Murphy began the season mainly patrolling left field, but has since moved over to first, replacing Carlos Delgado who is on the DL. But in either position, Murphy is making a name for himself while adding to an already attractive list of teammates that include David Wright, Jose Reyes and John Maine. (2007 Other All-Star Members)

Carlos Quentin (White Sox)
Quentin has spent a majority of this season injured, but his selection to this list was solidified in 2008 when he hit 100 RBI and 36 homers despite missing the final month of the season with a broken hand. I know fans in Chicago cannot wait for him off the DL and it’s not just for his potent bat.
George Kottaras (Red Sox)
Kottaras was brought over to the Red Sox to be knuckleballer Tim Wakefield’s personal catcher, but I bet there are a lot of ladies in Boston that wish he was their personal catcher.
Now there's another reason to head over to Kansas City, and no we're not taking about the BBQ.

Craig Stammen (Nationals)
Being 26-61 at the break, the Nats don’t give fans many reasons to go to the ballpark, but Stammen is definitely one of them.

He may not be old enough to legally drink in the US, but luckily Detroit is close to the Canadian boarder. Oh and like I wouldn’t include a kid from New Jersey on this list?

Randy is making good use of his opportunity with the Cubs and I think a lot of people are very happy about that.

Sanchez was going to make the honorable mention list, but after throwing a no-hitter on Friday, he bumped himself onto the starter’s list. Congrats Sanchez on both honors.

Honorable Mention: Jeremy Sowers (Indians), Jon Garland (Diamondbacks)
Relievers:
Justin Masterson (Red Sox)
Making people join Red Sox Nation for no other discernable reason.

David Robertson (Yankees)
Never mind Phil Hughes or Joba Chamberlain, Robertson is by far the most attractive young pitcher the Yankees are marching out of there.
