Someone Get It

Baseball: A day after bashing his teammates, Mark Reynolds hit a three run homer in the D'Backs 4-3 victory over the Rockies...Also venting was a frustrated Ryan Braun who threw his pitching staff under the bus after the Brewers fell to the Cubs, 8-2. We'll see if they back you up the next time you get hit in the ribs, Ryan..Meanwhile the Dodgers gave up five runs in the ninth, allowing the Padres to tie it at 6. LA later rallied in the 13th inning to edge San Diego, 7-6...The Astros pounded the Giants, 7-1 in a game where Giants starter Randy Johnson had to leave early with a should injury...In other pitcher injury news, the Yankees placed Chien-Ming Wang on the DL. Hopefully this means Phil Hughes gets back into the starting rotation where he belongs...Wang's replacement on the roster Jonathan Albaladejo scored the win as the Yankees outbased the Blue Jays, 10-8...The Rangers completed a sweep of the Rays, 5-2...Josh Hamilton is back on Monday...Also completing a sweep was the Phillies who topped the Mets, 2-0...Despite a 5-2 loss to the A's, Indians Manager Eric Wedge's job is safe until the end of the season. So you can stop your speculations until October, thank you...The A's acquired Scott Hairston from the Padres for minor-league pitchers Ryan Webb, Craig Italiano and a player to be named later...Albert Pujols and Derek Jeter were the NL and AL leading vote getters for this year's All-Star team. For a complete roster click here. And congrats to all the All-Stars!...There are still two spots left to complete the All-Star rosters. Click here to vote (for Shane Victorino and Ian Kinsler obviously!)

Basketball: Rasheed Wallace will likely sign with the Celtics, who are also talking to Grant Hill. Add Penny Hardaway and it's like Boston is the place where my eighth grade favorites go to die..Jason Kidd has pledged to re-sign with the Mavericks. Sorry New York...Candace Parker scored six points in her first game back since giving birth in May. The Sparks fell to the Mercury, 104-89.

Football: Sad news, former Titans QB Steve McNair was murdered over the weekend in Nashville...The NFL has suspended Jets linebacker Clavin Price for four games without pay for violating the league's PEDs policy...Tributes to Michael Jackson will not be tolerated by the CFL, Arland Bruce!

Hockey: The Blue Jackets locked up Rick Nash to a eight year contract extension which runs through the 2017-18 season. The deal is worth $62.4 million...The Canucks signed Mikael Samuelsson to a year deal...The Trashers signed Nik Antropov to a four year, $16 million contract. Somehow I feel this Gaborik deal will screw the Rangers. Exhibit A, Antropov...Teemu Selanne is promosing the Ducks that he's only going to play one more year. And he's not even crossing his fingers behind his back.

Nascar: There may have been more fireworks on the track than in the sky following the Coke 400 as Tony Stewart knocked Kyle Busch out of the way to collect the checkered flag. Like getting a taste of your own medicine huh Kyle?...Click here for the full results...And here for the updated points standings...The crash capped a weekend where Kyle Busch needed an IV after the Grand-Am race.

Best of the Rest: Roger Federer and Andy Roddick may have outdone Federer and Rafael Nadal's 2008 Wimbledon. This time, it was Federer who landed on top winning his record setting 15th grand slam...Roddick has pulled out of the Davis Cup with a hip problem...Congrats to Tiger Woods on winning at Congressional...Congrats to Justin Wilson who not only won at Watkins Glen, but gave team owner Dale Coyne his first ever IRL victory.
