It’s that time of year, when Nascar’s top Chase contenders ride in and take over Manhattan for this year’s Sprint Cup Championship Week. As announced previously, Nascar will no longer parade cars down the streets of New York, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be opportunities for fans to get up close and personal with their favorite drivers. The Hard Rock Café in Times Square will play host to a number activities including:
- Block Party (Thursday, December 4th at 9:30 AM)
- Fan Fest (December 4th – 6th at Noon)
- Nascar Presents Gavin DeGraw (December 4th at 8 PM)
Along with these exciting events, Jimmie Johnson will be roaming around New York attending luncheons, taking pictures at New York Landmarks and making radio and TV appearances. For a list of Jimmie’s schedule click here.
The week culminates in Friday’s Award’s Banquet at the Waldorf-Astoria. If you don’t have a ticket, don’t worry, the Banquet will air live on ESPN Classic at 9 PM/est and re-air on ESPN2 at 2 AM/est.
So put on your Nascar gear and head to the big apple of a week of excitement!
