Ugh

Why is filling in my NCAA bracket so stressful? Like I ever have a chance at winning the pool. I always have Duke going much further than they are capable of, yet every year I totally fret over it.

NASCAR Update:
Kerry Earnhardt is scheduled to test at Kentucky Speedway for DEI on Tuesday.

Of the 44 cars entered for Saturday’s Busch Race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, more than half (24) will be in the Cup Race on Sunday.

Giants Update:
Reuben Droughns, who joined the New York Giants last week after being traded by the Cleveland Browns for Tim Carter, passed a physical Monday. Droughns told reporters that the Giants plan on replacing Tiki Barber with the one-two punch of Droughns and Brandon Jacobs. If it’s good enough for the Colts, than it’s good enough for Big Blue. Greg Maddux missed his start against the Chicago White Sox because of a mild abdominal strain. (si.com)

The Colorado Rockies have released former Atlanta Braves catcher, Javy Lopez. Lopez will receive $122,951 for his troubles. Not bad for about a months work.

Gary Matthews, Jr. apologized to his Los Angeles Angels team for the distractions caused by his connection to a steroids ring. Matthews allegedly received HGH in 2004.

Lucy, a 10 year old English bulldog is very lucky to have such a loving owner. Lucy fell into icy water after cashing some ducks onto a frozen pond in Paillion, Nebraska. His owner Randy Gurchin rescued his dog and gave her CPR. Within minutes, Lucy had started breathing. (Reuters)

All of you workaholics (which now that I think about would probably not be reading this here blog) have a reason to get off your butts and go for a walk. It seems office workers are more prone to die from blood clots than even passengers on airplanes. Researcher Richard Beasley said one third of all patients admitted to the hospital with deep vein thrombosis are office workers. Like I needed another reason to take a wait over to Crumbs during my lunch break! (AFP)

Viacom, which owns MTV, CBS and Nickelodeon, has filed a billion dollar suit against Google and YouTube for “massive” copyright infringement. A world without YouTube would be awful! (AFP)

Starbucks has teamed up with Concord Music Group to launch a record company. The new Hear Music Record Label will sign artists and sell their music at Starbucks and other retailers. Do artists on this label get free Starbucks? If so, I might have to work on my singing act. (AP)

Vegas’ Stardust Casino has been reduced to rubble after it was demolished on Tuesday. The legendary casino was knocked down to make way for a $4.4 billion megaresort. (usatoday.com)

Sylvester Stallone has been charged with trying to smuggle vials of HGH (human growth hormones) into Australia. Stallone and company were detained on February 16th while their luggage was searched by custom officials. Watch out Sly, because the popo are on your tail! (AP)

Devin Chenault (21), Shawn Caldwell (18), Robert Greer (19) and Marcus Graves (18) were arrested after running out of the Waffle House without paying their nearly $100 tab.
