Baseball: Rangers SS Michael Young would like out of Texas...The Mets signed RHP Tim Redding to a one year deal. The team still plans to continue talks with Derek Lowe...The Red Sox added to their bullpen with the addition of Takashi Saito...The Braves may have finally picked up a starter, former Japanese MVP Kenshin Kawakami...The Royals signed Willie Bloomquist to a one year, $3.1 million deal. They also avoided abritration by signing Kyle Davies to a one year contract...The US roster for the World Baseball Classic is growing...Finally, Hall of Fame inductees will be announced later today. Basketball: Ray Allen almost took it upon himself to end the Celtics lastest slide, racking up 36 points in Boston's 94-88 roll over the Raptors...The Magic tagged the Spurs, 105-98...Lakers edged the Heat, 108-105. The win was their 30th of the season.

College Basketball: UNC is not doing so well in ACC play. After being downed by Boston College, the Tar Heels fell to Wake Forest, 92-89...#1 Pittsburgh had no trouble with St. John's in their 90-67 victory...UCLA came out on top in the battle of LA.

College Football: Tim Tebow is staying at Florida.

Football: Eli Manning chose a pretty crappy time to go back to his pre mid-December 2007 self. Manning threw 2 interceptions as the Giants fell to the Eagles, 23-11...The Cardinals shocked the Panthers, 33-13...While the Ravens edged the Titans, 13-10...The only home team not to fall this weekend was Pittsburgh who kept the Chargers at bay, 35-24...After fizzling without him in the lineup, could the Giants stick with Plaxico Burress?...The Broncos have hired Pats offesnive coordinator Josh McDaniels as their new head coach.

Hockey: Brendan Shanahan is back in New Jersey...Just in time, because the Devils dropped a close one to the Ducks, 4-3...Sam Gagner scored the game winner in the Oilers 2-1 defeat of the Blues...Nikolai Khabibulin helped stop the Hawks two game losing streak with his 26 saves in Chicago's 3-1 victory over the Preds...Injury update: Bruins F Marco Sturm could miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury...While Coyotes D Kurt Sauer could be out four weeks with a lower body injury...Sad news, co-owner of the Calgary Flames Doc Seaman has passed away. He was 86.
