Baseball: Andy Pettitte has declined the Yanks 1 year, $10 million offer...The Cubs have signed outfielder Milton Bradley to a three year deal worth $30 million...The Angels have extended manager Mike Scioscia's contract...The Cardinals are thinking about turning Chris Carpenter into a closer...They also signed former Brave Royce Ring to a one year deal...Phillies reliever J.C. Romero and Yankees pitcher Sergio Mitre has been suspended 50 games. Both blame the suspension on the use of a supplement...Sad news, Twins owner Carl Pohlad has died at the age of 93.



Basketball: The Nuggets routed the Pacers, 135-115...But Carmelo Anthony may have suffered a broken hand...The Spurs on a role, notching their eighth victory in their last nine games with their 91-84 defeat of the Heat...The Wizards are getting fiesty saying LeBron James took a crab dribble. I'm all for talking trash, but you may want to hold off on dissing one the NBA's finest when your team is a paltry 7-25 on the season...Nuggets guard J.R. Smith is expected in a New Jersey court room to face traffic summonses stemming from a 2007 car crash that killed a friend...Speaking of running into the popo Suns guard Jason Richards and former NBAer Antoine Walker are both facing DUI charges stemming from separate incidences.

College Basketball: Notre Dame upended Georgetown, 73-67...Abilene Christian help set a NCAA women's scoring record with their 147-143 win over Texas Woman's...Thanks to UNC's upset loss, Pitt has moved into the top spot followed by the Dukies.

College Football: Texas held off Ohio State with a late drive in the fourth quarter that gave them the 24-21 victory...Yale has hired Jacksonville Jaguars assistant Tom Williams as their new head coach. Williams will be the schools first ever black head coach...Tim Tebow is enjoying a good laugh. Thank you OU.

Football: Ben Roethlisberger fully intends on playing this weekend...Meanwhile LaDainian Tomlinson is not quite as sure he'll be in the lineup for the Chargers...Similarly, the Cards could be without WR Anquan Boldin...Congrats to James Harrison on being named Defensive Player of the Year...The Philly popo plan on releasing their findings in the case involving Colts WR Marvin Harrison...The Jets are set to interview Cardinals assistant Russ Grimm...The Rams could be talking to former Giants head coach Jim Fassel.

Hockey: Henrik Lundqvist recorded his first shutout of the season as the Rangers downed the Pens, 4-0...The Islanders continue to lose on the road, falling to the Oilers, 3-2...The Canucks have sent down forward Jannik Hansen in preparation for Mats Sundin to join the lineup sometime this week...Make note Predators fans, Saturday's game has been switched from 7 to 7:30 as not to interfer with the Titans game which starts at 3:30...Congrats to Team Canada on their fifth straight Juniors Championship.
