Last night I watched Ugly Betty, totally cute, and the OC. I’m going to say, that they way last night’s OC episode was hyped by my favorite TV blogs to be a must see because it was going to be the beginning of a wonderful relationship between…
*SPOILERS*
Ryan and Taylor. Yes, the seeds have been planted. The whole kiss and the lawyer saying he can tell when two people were in love tried to get you to root for Ryan and Taylor (sorry can't think of a fun nickname). At this point, it seems very one sided, hopefully, Ryan will get over Marissa and move on. I love Taylor. I think she’s so much fun. Sometimes annoying, but totally opposite of Summer and Caitlin.

Braves Update:
As of 12:01 AM Monday night, or Tuesday Morning depending on how you look at it, Tom Glavine will be a free agent and rumors are buzzing that the longer Mr. Glavine holds off talks with the Mets, the better it looks that Tommy will be returning to the Braves. I’m not getting my hopes up…who am I kidding. This could be a final hurray! Tommy and Smoltzie together again with Huddy and whoever’s left because they’ll have to trade some people to make salary and roster room. I’m crossing my fingers and toes!
Random Quote: "It appears as though Tom's decision-making process is going to go beyond the Mets' option deadline. Assuming the Mets do not exercise their option, the Braves certainly will have an opportunity if they're interested, to make a proposal to Tom.” - Glavine's agent, Gregg Clifton (foxsports.com)
NASCAR Update:
This weekend will mark the end of the 2006 season where both a Craftsman Truck Series and Nextel Cup Series champion will be crowned. (Kevin Harvick won the Busch Series Championship ages ago.) Jimmie Johnson is 63 points ahead of Matt Kenseth his closest competitor. In the Chases sort history (two whole years) the driver going into Homestead with the lead has won the Championship so history is on Johnson’s side. Johnson has to finish 15th and lead the most laps to guarantee his first championship. While Denny Hamlin (-90), Kevin Harvick (-90) and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (-115) are still mathematically alive, they would need a complete collapse by Johnson and Kenseth to even consider winning the Cup.
There are multiple storylines besides the crowning of Champion to look for this weekend. First there’s the battle for 35th place and a guaranteed spot in the Daytona 500 between Sterling Marlin and Kyle Petty. Then there’s Casey Mears, who’s looking for his first win in his final race with the #42 team. Other people jumping ship include Brian Vickers in the #25 and Dale Jarrett in the #88. Also on the line, momentum for 2007. Just look at Greg Biffle, he won at Homestead in 2004 and in 2005 he finished second in the final standings.

Around the World:
Two armed men attempted to rob people waiting on line for the new Playstation 3 outside a Wal-Mart in rural Putnam, CT. One person was shot when he refused to give up his money to the thugs. How else would he pay for his new PS3? IN Palmdale, CA, a Super Wal-Mart had to be shut down after people became too “rowdy” and in West Bend, WI a 19 year old ran into a pole while trying to get one of ten spots to get the new Playstation. However, at a Best Buy in Boston, employees handed out 140 tickets to the first 140 people waiting for PS3 so they would not have to wait in line. The moral of the story, buy your Playstation at Best Buy, not Wal-Mart! (AP)
A new study by the University of Indiana and partly supported by the Dairy and Nutrition Council found drinking chocolate milk was better for athletes than drinking sports drinks like Gatorade. (AP)
