The Toronto Blue Jays released pitcher Victor Zambrano on Monday. The right hander had a 0-2 record with a 10.97 ERA at the time of his release.

The Los Angeles Angles of Anaheim have released Shea Hillenbrand after signing him to a $6.5 million contract last December.

Around Sports
The Pittsburgh Peguins have signed 19 year old phenom Sidney Crosby to a five year, $45 million extension. Crosby will turn 20 next month.

#1 draft pick Greg Oden may miss the rest of Summer League Play to have his tonsils removed. That's what happens when you have kids playing professional sports. Hope he doesn't come down with a rotten case of chicken pox during the season.

After 18 years, Dan Patrick will be leaving ESPN.

Just a little update, last week, I mentioned that pacman jones' crossfire was on ebay. Well it sold for approximately, $20,000. Let's hope she has that thing disinfected.

Popo in my Crib News:
Scary news...the Miami Heat's Antoine Walker's home in Chicago was robbed on Monday. Two unidentified men entered Walker's home and one held the star at gun point. Jewelry, cash and a vehicle were stolen but no injuries were reported. Walker's agenet said "He's ok." Watch out robbers, because the popo are on your tail!

Baltimore Ravens' QB, Steve McNair, is one lucky guy. DUI charges against him were dropped on Tuesday. McNair was a passenger in a speeding pick-up truck driven by his borther-in-law, Jamie Cartwright, when cops pulled it over. Cartwright refused a breath test and was charged with drunk driving. Cartwright's charges were later lessend to reckless driving in a plea bargain thus dropping the charges against his passenger, McNair. Watch out Steve, becuase the popo are on your tail!

A federal jury awarded $260,000 to two men who had sued Allen Iverson after they were beaten by members of his entourage. (Seriously, AI and Pacman Jones really need to interview people before they allow people into their entourages. Questions like, have your ever been arrested; when was the last time you were in a fight; how many drinks does it take before you get belligerent...) Marlin Godfrey and David Anthony Kittrell had originally sued the Denver Nuggets star for $20 million, but the jury awarded the plantiffs enough money to cover medical bills and pain and suffering. Watch out Allen and Co, because the popo are on your tail!

Check it out: Don't forget to check out the all-star game tonight on Fox at 8PM/est.

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
