Braves Update:
It was a weird game for the Braves on Sunday. After an almost hour and a half rain delay in the fourth inning, the once scoreless game was broke open with three Marlin runs. The Braves were able to fight back and scored two runs in the ninth to lead 5-4 until Bob Wickman gave up the tying homerun to Miguel Olivo which pushed the game into extra innings. Josh Willingham hit a walk-off single in the 10th to win it for the Marlins 6-5 and end the Braves five game winning streak. The Braves head off to La-La land to take on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Coverage starts at 10:10 PM/est on SS.

Braves Notes: Congratulations to Brian McCann and John Smoltz on making the 2007 All-Star team. Notably absent from the line-up were Edgar Renteria and Chipper Jones.

News & Notes: The All-Star rosters were unveiled on Sunday. Among the notables, Ken Griffey, Jr. and Barry Bonds in the NL and Magglio Ordonez and Derek Jeter in the AL. Big congrats to first timers, Cole Hamels, Aaron Rowand and Justin Morneau. The biggest snubs had to be Edgar Renteria and John Maine in the NL and Curtis Granderson and Kevin Youkilis in the AL...But of course, the rosters aren't truly completed until the fans vote on the final addition to the each roster. Click here to cast your vote...Yesterday was a big day for managerial change over in MLB as Mike Hargrove, Manager of the Seattle Mariners, resigned and the Cincinnati Reds fired Jerry Narron. They have replaced Narron with interim manager Pete Mackanin...Tim Lincecum struck out 12 batters in the San Francisco Giants 13-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks...Vince Carter has resigned with the New Jersey Nets for a four year contract that will net him at least $60 million...Finally, in crazy news, New York Yankees reliever Scott Proctor torched his personal equipment after Saturday's loss to the Oakland Athletics. Proctor was hoping to burn the bad spirits away.

It's been fun blogging with you,
