Baseball: Barack Obama's election could take a few more pennies out of player's wallets...Scott Boras + Alex Rodriguez = BFF...A.J. Burnett has opted out of his final two years with the Blue Jays...The mustache has left the building and he took his injured friend Carl Pavano with him...According to a new study, Derek Jeter is the worst fielder in the Majors. Somehow I don't think he's crying over this...The Nationals have sent Dimtri Young to the minors...The Padres have reportedly narrowed the Jake Peavy field down to three...The Pirates won't raise ticket prices citing the economy and the fact that they haven't been to the playoffs in 16 years!

Basketball: The Knicks are not ready to get rid of Stephon Marbury...The Spurs remain winless after falling to the Mavs, 98-81...Ray Allen had 29 points as the Celtics held onto a 103--99 win over the Rockets...NBA ref Scott Foster has broken his silence about his relationship with convicted felon Tim Donaghy.


College Football: USC coach Pete Carroll is not a fan of the BSC...Florida has kicked CB Jaques Rickerson off the team after he was arrested and charged with felony battery. Watch out Jaques, because the popo are on your tail!

Football: Too bad the Raiders can't get rid of Al Davis. Instead they're reportedly dropping cornerback DeAngelo Hall and WR Javon Walker...The Steelers are awaiting the results of a MRI on Ben Roethlisberger's shoulder...The Bills top rusher Aaron Schobel could miss the rest of the season with a left foot injury.

Hockey: Marty Brodeur is out for the next three to four months. They say bad news comes in three, but I pray that pertains to one of the Islanders or Devils back-up goalies and not Henrik...Speaking of the Rangers, they gave up two short-handed goals in their 2-1 loss to the Islanders...The Sharks remain perfect at home after handling the Wild, 3-1...The Hurricanes edged the Maple Leafs, 5-4 (OT)...Alexander Ovechkin was pointless in his return as the Capitals fell to the Senators, 2-1...Roberto Luongo got his third shut out of the season as the Canucks blanked the Predators, 4-0...The NHL All-Star ballot is out.

Nascar: Steve Reeves will not return as Jimmie Johnson's spotter in 2009...A target shooter maybe to blame for injuring a woman at Sunday's race in Texas.

Best of the Rest: Japanese Olympic Officials are worried that the election of Barack Obama may give Chicago an unfair advantage on landing the 2016 Olympics...Fernando Alonso has extended his contract with Renault through 2010.
