All Grammyed out

Last night we had a low key Grammy Party. But before the party started, Niki, Christa and I enjoyed a late lunch at Serendipity 3. That place is always worth the wait!

Atlanta Braves Update:
The Braves and pitcher Oscar Villareal agreed to a one year, $925,000 contract on Sunday.

Sad news…John Smoltz and his wife Dyan are splitting after 16 years together. The couple has four children.

NASCAR Update:
Congratulations to Tony Stewart on winning the 2007 Budweiser Shoot-Out on Saturday night.

It’s an all Robert Yates front row for this year’s Daytona 500 as David Gilliland captured the pole. This comes just one day after the “rookie” came in second in the Budweiser Shoot-Out. Gilliland will be joined on the front row by his teammate, Ricky Rudd.

In other qualifying news…Kasey Kahne and Matt Kenseth had their times disallowed due to “unapproved devices that enhanced speeds.” Meanwhile, Michael Waltrip had his car confiscated because of an unapproved manifold. (foxsports.)

Duke lost their fourth straight game, 72-60 to Maryland. I am officially not commenting on my Dukies until they win a game!

Football
The AFC beat the NFC 31-28 in a wild Pro Bowl this weekend. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, Carson Palmer picked up the MVP trophy.
