Well this has taken an unexpected turn
According to ESPN the Magazine, Nascar driver Jeremy Mayfield tested positive for Meth during a random drug test administered on May 1st. Mayfield had claimed he had taken two doses of Clariten-D and a dose of Adderall XR prescribed by a doctor to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). What had not been released was the third drug that turned up in his urine test…until now!
Wow. I was not expecting that. I had heard the rumblings of an allergy drug and possible drug to treat ADHD but meth! All I can say is “Wow!”
Oh, and I don’t think drivers need that drug expressly named on a list of banned substances since it’s a serious no brainer…along with crack, for which I was kind of holding out hope. Especially after reading Josh Hamilton’s book, where he wrote that he got crack from a trailer in North Carolina. But golly, METH!?!?!!?!??!?!
Watch out Jeremy, because the popo will most definitely be on your tail!
