One day after finding out that Geovany Soto is a lifetime subscriber to High Times (and like five minutes after discovering Lou Pinella has tried pot), news has leaked that Kansas City Royals pitcher Sidney Ponson tested positive for a stimulant during the World Baseball Classic. Now looks who kicking themselves for not playing in the WBC this year, Manny Ramirez.
Ponson will not be suspended by Major League Baseball, but will be “subject to medical review and fine.” Ponson was playing for the Netherlands when he tested positive for Phentermine, a well known appetite suppressant. Judging by the photo above, that medication was not doing its job.
