Florida back-up QB Cameron Newton is a lot of hot water after he allegedly stole a dell laptop from a student’s dorm room and threw it out a window when campus popo came a knocking.“[The popo] found out via the university's computer network that someone had logged onto the student-friendly Gatorlink system with the [missing] laptop under the identification "cnewton," according to the report.”
Hmm…so sneaky cnewton, I wonder who that could be?
After targeting Newton with housing the missing computer, which he had painted black and written Newton in white block lettering, the popo checked out the serial numbers on the computer.
“The officers stepped away from Newton's room to call and ask the student if the serial numbers matched, but the computer was gone when they returned to Newton's room. The computer was later found by a garbage dumpster outside of the Springs Complex, where Newton lived on the third floor.”
Apparently, Florida doesn’t allow their students to watch CSI or Law & Order. Of course they’re going to check the dumpster first for a laptop that magically went missing minutes after inspection.
Newton has been charged with felony buglary, larceny and obstruction of justice. He was also charged with one count of failure to watch procedural crime dramas and learn something and two counts of being just plain stupid in the court of PIMC.
Watch out Cam, because the popo are on your tail!
