Running down a football field isn’t the only thing Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson does fast…he also likes to drive fast. The star running back was clocked going 109 mph in a 55 mph zone on a suburban Minneapolis highway over the weekend and was given a speeding ticket. Oh and cop in South Carolina, like I was driving too fast!
Peterson was pulled over by the popo around 8:30 PM on Saturday while cruising in his BMW on Highway 62 on his way to a downtown hotel where the team stays before game day. “[I] got a little speeding ticket. I need to be more aware of the speed I was going and not let it happen again."
The traffic stop caused Peterson to be late, but after his 85 yard performance during the Viking’s 36-10 victory over the Bears probably made up for it.
Watch out Adrian, because the popo are on your tail!
