It just keeps getting worse

Poor Michael Waltrip. Besides actually making it into the Daytona 500, this season has been absolutely horrible. He has yet to move out of -27 points and his other team drivers, Dale Jarrett and David Reutimann have been less than stellar this season. Now comes word that Waltrip was involved in an auto accident over the weekend and failed to report it. If anyone needed a vacation it would be Mikey!

In other NASCAR news, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. continues to fight for majority ownership of DEI. In my opinion, it is a battle he should continue. If his dad was still alive, he would have turned over the keys to the garagemahal when he felt Junior was ready.

Also, Kurt Busch's crew crief Roy McCauley has taken a leave of absence from the team to be with his wife, Amy who is battling cancer. Troy Raker was named interim crew chief.

Congrats to the Atlanta Braves who beat the Washington Nationals 8-0. Tim Hudson had another stellar start. Jeff Francouer and Andruw Jones both went deep. Chuck James will face Jerome Williams tonight at 7:35 on FSN.

Finally, tonight is the season finale of "Friday Night Lights." As Kyle Chandler (Coach Eric Taylor) says, there are two people in this world, those who love "FNL" and those who haven't seen it. If you're one of those who hasn't seen it, tonight's your chance. You can catch up, by heading over to nbc.com to watch past episodes for FREE or you can download episodes at itunes for $1.99.

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
