Islanders’ defenseman Brendan Witt was struck by a car in Philadelphia on his way to getting his morning cup of Joe at Starbucks. The veteran was walking across Arch Street when “a gold Yukon made an illegal turn,” hitting Witt. The scrap didn’t stop him from attending the morning skate and will also not prevent him from playing against the Flyers tonight.To be honest, I could actually see myself getting hit by a car, heading over to Starbucks to get my daily frappacino and then going to the hospital, but in no part of this scenario would I also be stopping by the local rink to partake in some hockey.
Watch out guy in the gold Yukon, because the popo are on your tail!
