Saturday was my friend Niki’s bday party. We had a blast at Fiddlesticks, once the Eagles/Saints game was over and the private room was cleared out. They definitely played some great songs from my youth. When Mase came on, I was transported back to ninth grade!


NASCAR Update:
Sad News…1972 Cup Champion Benny Parsons has died. The 65 year old had been diagnosed with lung cancer in July and the subsequent treatment cost him the use of his left lung. Parson entered a North Carolina Hospital on December 26th due to complications from cancer.

Congratulations to Tony Stewart who won the 21st annual Chili Bowl this past weekend.

According to jayski.com, DEI has signed Jeff Earnhardt to a development deal. Jeff is the son of Kerry Earnhardt and grandson of Dale Earnhardt.

David Gilliland was the fastest on the opening day of Daytona Testing for Nextel Cup Group B.

Naomi Campbell pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault of her maid on Tuesday. Ms. Campbell was ordered to pay her maid’s medical expenses, complete five days of community service and attend anger management classes. Watch out Naomi, because the popo are on your tail! (AP)

Celebrity Tid Bits:
Last night the Golden Globes were handed out. Among the winners, was Helen Mirren who won two statues, one for Best Actress in a TV/Mini Series her role as Elizabeth I and the other for Best Actress in a Drama for her role as Elizabeth II. Jennifer Hudson and Eddie Murphy won Best Supporting trophies for their roles in Dreamgirls. Sasha Baron Cohn won for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical while Meryl Streep picked up Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical. On the TV side, "Grey’s Anatomy" was named Best TV Series Drama, while "Ugly Betty" was named Best TV Series Comedy. Congratulations to America Ferrera, for her win as Best Actress in a TV Series Comedy.

TV ALERT: "American Idol" begins tonight at 8 PM/est on Fox

Jennifer Anniston will join BFF Courtney Cox on an episode of “Dirt.”
